Matt began his radio career at age 14 in Chillicothe, Ohio at WBEX/WKKJ. He worked there doing news, production, and working on the station’s new website until he graduated from high school in 1999 and took an on-air position at 100KEE-FM in Huntington, WV.

The news bug had bit and after a couple of months in Huntington he returned to Chillicothe and WBEX/WKKJ as a news reporter/anchor. During his tenure in Chillicothe he was awarded as “Best Reporter” by the Associated Press in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005.

In 2005 he moved up US 23 to 610 WTVN. In July, 2008 Matt became news director for a group of four stations in Columbus, Indiana.

In March, 2009 he returned to 610 WTVN. Matt lives in Chillicothe with his wife Chelsea and sons Charlie & Max, two cats, and a dog. A native of Indianapolis, he’s a huge Indiana Hoosiers and Indianapolis Colts fan.
