COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Billboards launched by are getting a negative reaction from Christians.

"The sign said 'Jesus is Muslim,'" said Dave Daubenmire with Pass the Salt Ministries.

Daubenmire says the message is false. He's planning a Saturday prayer vigil from 10am - 12pm below one of the billboards at the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Shrock Road.

"Jesus is not a Muslim. Jesus is Lord and we just felt that message needed to be countered," he said.

Daubenmire also questions the timing of the billboards coming during the Lenten season, one of the biggest Christian holiday periods of the year. Despite their opposition, the group isn't demanding that the billboards be pulled down.

"We believe that everyone has a right to say what they want to say, including Islam. But at what point do you become accountable for your speech when your speech is not true," he said.

A call to the group responsible for the billboards has not been returned.
