ALEXANDRIA, Ohio (WTVN) --Johnstown residents joined friends and family members of three teenagers killed in a car wreck for a candlelight vigil Thursday night.

Michael Hoskinson, 17, Linzie Bell, 15, and Cheyenne Spurgeon, all from Johnstown, died when the car they were riding in left Hardscrabble Rd near Alexandria Thursday and hit a tree Thursday afternoon.

The force of the impact tore the 2003 Mitsubishi Diamante nearly in half.

The driver, 16-year-old Jaylynn Rigio, and a passenger in the front seat, Ashton Cody, also 16 and both from Johnstown, survived the crash and are undergoing treatment at area hospitals.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol believes speed was a factor in the accident.
