COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A choir instructor has been arrested after being accused of sex crimes against his students.

Zachary Ruppel, 26, of Columbus was charged Sunday night with disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and compelling prostitution involving a minor.

Investigators say Ruppel solicited nude pictures and sex acts in exchange for positions in the choir at St. Francis DeSales High School and the All Ohio State Fair Youth Choir.

Ruppel has resigned from DeSales and is on leave from the state fair choir.

Columbus Police said the charges involve students from both groups dating back to 2011. They are looking to see if there are additional victims.
