WHITEHALL, Ohio (WTVN) -- Police say they are looking into the death of a child Thursday afternoon.

Whitehall Police Sgt. Dan Kelso told 610 WTVN that they were called to 4613 Eastway Court, Apartment H, just before 2 p.m.

A 4 year old boy at the scene was not breathing, but medics were not able to revive the boy, identified as Carlos Mullins, Jr.

After further investigation, police say it appears a kitchen stove was pulled over on top of Mullins Jr. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning.

Our news partners, ABC6, report that there were other children inside the home at the time of the incident.

Neighbors say they are shocked and call the mother a good mom.

Police are questioning the family members. No formal arrests have been made.
