COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) --Columbus police are trying to find out who threw rocks that hit as many as a dozen vehicles along I-70 near Hamilton Road.

No injuries were reported but some cars were damaged so severely they had to be towed.

WBNS-TV reports that one witness saw two boys throwing the rocks onto I-70 Monday night.

The station says police searched the area with a helicopter but couldn't find any suspects.

Dennis DeYoung tells the station he was concerned about seeing two boys so close to the highway until he saw one of them throw a rock and hit his windshield.

Highway rock throwers have caused serious injuries in past incidents in Ohio, including a minister blinded by a rock thrown from an I-70 overpass in 2001.
