CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (WTVN) -- A chimney fire led to the discovery of a meth lab in

David Stone

Ross County Sunday evening.

The Ross County sheriff's office says the Green Township Fire Dept. was called to a home in Carousel Court on US 23 north of Chillicothe around 7 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived on the scene they found items used to manufacture meth inside the mobile home.

Sheriff's deputies confirmed that the items were part of a meth lab and called in the U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force to help with the clean up and collection of evidence. Several items were taken for lab testing.

David Stone, 49, was arrested and charged with illegal manufacture of methamphetamine. He's being held in the Ross County Jail.
