CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (WTVN) -- Five people, including the victim's grandson, have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting and theft at a home in Orient Sunday.

Pickaway County Sheriff Robert Radcliff says all five people are charged with aggravated burglary and theft. All are from the Columbus area.

A neighbor found Thomas Whitson, 84, shot to death inside his home on Darby Creek Road.

During the investigation, detectives found that several firearms had been taken from the home. Investigators recovered some of the weapons at a home on West Park Avenue in Columbus.

Whitson's grandson, Shaun Lawson, 30, was arrested along with Kyle Robinson, 20. Another man, Joshua Johnson, 20, of Grove City, was arrested later. Two 17-year olds, Jesse Akers and Jordan Legg, were also taken into custody.

Radcliff says five of the seven guns they have recovered thus far, were from the victims home. Additional charges are pending review by Pickaway County Prosecutor Judy Wolford.
