COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- The Franklin County Sheriff's Office, along with Hilliard Police, uncovered a large marijuana growing operation on Tuesday, along with all the items needed to defend it.
Sheriff Zack Scott says they executed the search warrant Tuesday morning at a home in the 3400 block of Cannongate Drive. 38-year-old Kacy Luby and 24-year-old Seth Lykins were arrested.
Scott was disturbed by the firepower in the home.
"We have assault weapons, we have AR-15's. These type of guns have been known to inflict a lot of damage in a very short period of time," he said.
Thousands of rounds of ammunition were also found in the home, along with $10,000 cash and between five and ten pounds of marijuana.
Scott says more arrests are possible, and emphasized the possible danger that is taken off the streets with the high-powered weaponery.
"If they decide to go someplace and sell their marijuana, you know at that point that when they're going to sell, this they'll have those guns ready and available if they would confront anyone that would resist them," said Scott.
He says tips from the public, and cooperation with Hilliard Police helped uncover the operation.
