COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A group representing city leaders in Columbus and just about every other community in central Ohio says it has filed suit over a bill passed by state lawmakers late last year.

COMMA, the Central Ohio Mayors and Managers Association, believes Senate Bill 331 was changed--without any legislative hearings--allowing AT&T and other service providers to install small wireless antennas on municipally owned structures in any Ohio city.

The bill was signed by Governor John Kasich in December and is set to become effective on Tuesday.

COMMA Chairman and Bexley Mayor Ben Kessler says it will not only reduce area property values, but impact community streetscapes.
