COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) --No. 7 Ohio State and 12th-ranked Clemson are the Orange Bowl's selections to play in Miam on Jan. 3.
The Buckeyes' 24-game winning streak and BCS title hopes ended Saturday with a loss to Michigan State in the Big 10 title game. Clemson gets its second Orange Bowl trip in three years, despite not winning its division of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Buckeyes will be vying to give Urban Meyer his fourth 13-1 season since 2006. Clemson could finish 11-2 in consecutive years with a victory.
It will be only the second appearance for the Buckeyes in the Orange Bowl. The last time was in 1976 against the Colorado Buffalos.
Ohio State and Clemson have met just once before--in the Gator Bowl in 1978.
Ohio State is making 17,500 tickets available for the Orange Bowl, with tickets for the general public priced at $90 and $114 each. For more information on tickets, click here.
