COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A round of strong thunderstorms early Wednesday morning left thousands of central Ohio homes and businesses without electricity.

By 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, AEP crews had restored power to all but 2,000 or so customers in Franklin and Delaware Counties.  Click here for the latest numbers.

The storms moved through around 2 a.m. bringing high winds, heavy rain and a lot of lightning. None of the storms reached severe limits.

More storms are possible later Wednesday and Wednesday night.
