COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) --An Ohio State trooper is due in court Friday to answer drunk driving charges--his OVI charge in his 14 years with the Patrol.

Police say Jeremy Garner's blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit when he hit two parked cars in the Short North Sunday night.

Garner at one time was part of a task force that patrolled the highways looking for drunk drivers.

In 2007, Grove City Police charged Garner with OVI. He was sentenced to two years probation, fined $250 and had his driver's license suspended for six months.
