COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A poll from Gallup asked Americans what they think of the state in which they live.

46 percent of Americans say their state is one of the best to live.

Only 32 percent of Ohioans consider their state one of the best. 4 percent rate it the best state in the nation while 5 percent think it's the worst.

People living in Montana and Alaska had the highest ratings - both at 77 percent. Utah, Wyoming, and Texas rounded out the top 5.

On the other end of the scale, Rhode Island had the worst rating with only 18 percent of residents considering it a great place to live. Illinois wasn't much better with 19 percent. Mississippi, Louisiana, and Michigan were in the bottom 5.
