COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) --Friday's scheduled sentencing of a Columbus pediatrician on child pornography charges has been delayed.
The U.S. Attorney's Office in Columbus says the defense requested the postponement on behalf of Christopher Pelloski, former director of the pediatric cancer radiation program at Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center.
Pelloski has pleaded guilty to charges of downloading child pornography, including videos and photos.
His attorneys didn't immediately respond to calls regarding the reason for the delay.
Prosecutors are seeking a four-year prison sentence.
Pelloski has cited a troubled childhood and his own sexual abuse as a boy as he seeks a lighter sentence. his attorneys say he compensated for his childhood by becoming an overachiever but also dealt with stress by abusing alcohol.
