COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A small fire caused a brief evacuation at Port Columbus International Airport Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the roof of Concourse B. Terri Sullivan, a reporter with our news partner ABC 6, reported that firefighters seemed to quickly contain the fire which appeared to have been in an air conditioning unit or other mechanical equipment.

No injuries were reported, but a couple of planes were held up from pulling up to the airport to let passengers off.

"We landed and started to taxi and the pilot came over the radio and said that we had to hold tight because there had been a fire in the building," said Gena Shelton who flew back to Columbus from Washington DC.

She says Congressman Bob Gibbs and Congresswoman Joyce Beatty were also on her flight.

Shelton says their wait was about 10 minutes before they were eventually allowed to park and leave the plane.
