COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Storms raked central Ohio spawning a couple of funnel clouds, but no major reports of any damage.
"We have had some trees down and some wires down, but fortunately we avoided any major damage in the county," said Pickaway County Sheriff Robert Radcliff.
We talked with sheriff's offices in Fairfield and Union Counties and got the same report.
Hail seemed to be the biggest problem from the Ohio River to north of Columbus.
The worst of the damage appears to have been in Cedarville where a tornado touched down and flattened several buildings, including a home.
A family of four seeking shelter in the basement had to be rescued from the wreckage, according to Cedarville Police, but they were not injured.
