COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) --A 16-year-old charged in the stabbing death of a jogger pleaded guilty Thursday in a deal with prosecutors.

Investigators say Jordan Stewart was living in a Blendon Township group foster home last October when he repeatedly stabbed 55-year-old Jane Juergens in nearby Ridgewood Park.

Stewart was sentenced to 18 years to life.

Juergens' murder prompted an investigation into the operation of group homes in Ohio and resulted in an effort by state lawmakers to increase oversight of the facilities.
