COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- It's business as usual again at Scioto Downs after a threat Thursday morning.

Our news partners, ABC 6, are reporting the threat was made by a man who allegedly demanded tens-of-thousands of dollars. He may have been a former employee, though police are not confirming or denying that.

The unidentified suspect reached a Scioto Downs employee by phone at approximately 10 a.m. and allegedly threatened to detonate a bomb if he was not paid $50,000.

The Columbus Bomb Squad swept the area and found nothing.

Attention is now focused on finding out who the man making the threats is. ABC 6 reporter Rob Wells reports that the man continued making threatening calls until about 3 p.m.

Police will keep an eye on Scioto Downs, but for now security has been turned back over to the racino's own security force.
