Kam Williams Rare 4-Point Play Lifts Buckeyes

It was far from a basketball masterpiece but the Basketball Buckeyes got a much needed win, taking down Rutgers 70-64  Wednesday. Junior guard Kam Williams was the hero, equaling his career high with 23 points--16 of them in the second half, including the four biggest points of the game.

Moments after Ohio State (15-10, 5-7 Big 10) committed its 15th turnover of the night when Marc Loving threw the ball away on an in-bounds pass leading to Rutgers game tying basket with 1:19 left, Williams came to the rescue. He snapped the 62-all tie by nailing a 3-pointer from the right wing as he was fouled. Williams made the free-throw to complete the rare 4-point play and save Ohio State from a potential bad loss.
