Parts of Columbus hit by car theft spree

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Columbus police are trying to put a stop to a car theft spree on the city's West Side.

At least a half-dozen vehicles were taken in one day on the Hilltop last week--that's on top of the more than 100 thefts last month in nearby neighborhoods.

Police are urging residents not to leave their vehicles unattended while they're warming up or keep the keys in the ignition while inside a gas station.
