Brady Jersey Thief Identified On Video

The mystery of what happened to Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's jersey after the Super Bowl was solved this week when it was revealed a credentialed member of the international media swiped it. On Tuesday, on "The Herd" with Colin Cowherd, heard weekdays on sister station 105.7, the Zone, video evidence of the moments before and after the theft were revealed by Fox NFL reporter Jay Glazer. While the actual theft is not shown, Glazer's account, aired on television on Fox Sports 1, is fascinating.

The accused thief, Martin Mauricio Ortega, the former director of the Mexican tabloid "LaPrensa," is seen entering the locker room steps behind Patriots coach Bill Belichick, acting as if he is part of Belichick's entourage.  Ortega enters the locker room at 10:04 p.m. and is seen milling about, even peeking at the surveillance cameras. At 10:18, Ortega is seen--with a bag under his arm--exiting the locker room  as many other Patriot players are going in.

Ortega has not been charged yet, however he resigned from "LaPrensa" last week and the publication has issued a formal apology for his actions.

If you have not seen the video, check it out here. Glazer's reporting and the minute-by-minute break down of the theft is excellent.
