NBA Combine Invites Do Not Include Buckeyes

Former Ohio State big man Trevor Thompson, who already has signed with an agent and will not be back with the Buckeyes, will not be showing his talent to scouts and GM's at the NBA combine. The complete unofficial list of players invited to the combine in Chicago does not include Thompson. Also not on the list is Buckeye guard Kam Williams who has declared for the draft but has yet to sign with an agent, and could still return to Ohio State. Here is the list, as reported by NBA Draft Express.

Williams status going forward remains murky. Earlier this week, CBS Basketball Insider Jon Rothstein reported that Williams, who averaged 9.4 points a game for the Buckeyes last season, was pulling out of the draft and would be back at Ohio State.

Williams, however, refuted that report, which cited coach Thad Matta as the source.

Since that post, reporters and even fans, have asked Williams....but he won't answer. Anyone who has watched Williams can tell you he needs to return. Right now, he's not even close to being at an All Big Ten level, let alone an NBA guard, but the decision is Williams' and apparently, he feels the need to make everyone wait.
