Reward offered for suspect in rape, murder of baby

CONNEAUT, Ohio (WTVN) -- The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering up to $5000 for information which leads to the arrest of fugitive Joshua Gurto.

He is wanted by the U.S. Marshal's Service and the Conneaut Police Department for the aggravated murder and rape of his girlfriend's 13-month old girl.


Sereniti Jazzlynn-Sky Blankenship-Sutley was laid to rest Monday, nine days after she was found dead from blunt force trauma to the head and trunk.

Gurto, 37, stands about 5' 10'' and weighs 145 lbs.  He has a deformed right ear, a misaligned jaw and tattoos on his right forearm.

Investigators say he has ties to Ashtabula County and western Pennsylvania.

Anyone with information as to Gurto's whereabouts is asked to call the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED.  Tipsters can remain anonymous.
