COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Columbus Police SWAT officers spent about six hours on Sunday resolving a standoff situation, which ended with the suspect in custody.
Police initially responded to the home along Rumsey Road, around 3PM, where a man had barricaded himself inside.
Portions of Lockbourne Road were also closed as the standoff continued.
Negotiators spent hours trying to convince the man to surrender, and officers forced entry into the home around 9PM, where the suspect was apprehended.
The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
