COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The long NHL season is only a couple weeks old, but Blue Jackets forward Sonny Milano may have already scored the goal of the year.
In Wednesday night's game against the Dallas Stars at Nationwide Arena, Milano skated toward the Stars net, and into the slot, when he put the puck between his legs, and shot it over the right shoulder of Dallas goaltender Ben Bishop, into the back of the net.
The goal gave the Jackets a 3-1 lead in the 3rd period, en route to a 3-2 victory.
Along with the goal by Milano, it was the Jackets' 3rd win in a row, and evens their record after six games.
