Central Ohio Gas Prices Surpass $5/Gallon

Gas Prices Surging At Record Pace

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The price of a gallon of gas surpassed $5 per gallon of regular in many parts of central Ohio by Tuesday morning.

AAA still observed the average for the state of Ohio at $4.96, but at least four counties in the Columbus area, including Franklin, Licking, Fairfield, and Delaware, had an average of over $5.

Pickaway and Union counties still had an average of below $5, but Madison and Fayette counties are also on the cusp of eclipsing the $5 mark.

AAA put the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline at $4.91 Tuesday morning.
