This week, we headed to the north-end of town and visited "The Pizza House." It's located just inside the Columbus city limits, quite close to the Worthington area on East Lincoln Avenue.

Our group has expanded to 15-20 people and can be a logistical seating challenge. So, it's understandable when we may take more time to seat. Last Saturday, it took just about an hour to get a table. I get the long wait. Not a big deal. But, was the pizza worth the wait? Short answer: no.

Overall, the group left with a "lacking" vibe. We were not impressed by the pizza and thought that there wasn't anything that made it special. The service was great and that may have been the most redeeming quality of our visit there.

If you go to the Pizza House, try the "Pesto." Other than that, there wasn't anything that really stood out. We got a wide array of pizza as we usually do (Hawaiian, Meat Lovers, Pepperoni, BBQ, Pesto, White, etc). Most of them were average or below.

Personally, would I return to the Pizza House? Probably not.

Here are some comments from the other members:

- Steve: "I was less than impressed."

- Caleb: "Overall it was ok. Would I come back? Probably."

- Jeff: "It was a solid pie. I would come back."

- Paul: "It was very average, but even average pizza is pretty good."

- Jon: "There are three essentials for life: women, money, and pizza. What was lacking tonight? Pizza."

Overall, here is our numerical takeaway:

- Atmosphere: 3.0 (out of 5, it was ok).

- Price: 3.0 (out of 5, it was a good price).

- Taste: 7.5 (out of 10, average).

- Location: 3.5 (out of 5, it was a decent location).

- Service: 3.5 (out of 5, very good service).

BOTTOM LINE: It was an average experience. Kinda "meh." BBQ and Pesto pizza was the standout.

HINT: Tonight, we're going to the the West Side and a place that starts with "E." Any guesses?
