The on-field workouts at the NFL combine are underway and Ohio State product Pat Elflein seems to have left a positive impression. Elflein, the Rimington Award winner as the top center in the nation last season, ran a 5.32 in the 40 (see below) which considered a solid number for his position.
Those covering the combine have had good things to say about Elflein as well. His versatility should be an asset to NFL teams who need help up front. During his Ohio State career, Elflein started at both right and left guard and this past year, at center. He's also a kid who has been exceptional off the field, not only with the respect he earned from his teammates, serving as a captain, but also with his work in the community.
