Memorial honors anniversary of Columbus man's disappearance

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Dozens of people came out to Columbus's Goodale Park Sunday to remember a man who vanished after leaving a Short North bar.

They sent dozens of red balloons into the sky to mark the one-year anniversary of Joey Labute's disappearance.

Labute's body was found in the Scioto River three weeks after he was last seen at the Union Cafe.

Columbus police say the case remains open.
