Mexico Only Partly At Fault for Ohio Opioid Problem: Attorney General

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Ohio's Attorney General says part of the opioid problem in Ohio cannot be blamed on Mexican drug cartels.

Attorney General Mike DeWine delivered the keynote address to the Ohio Dental Association convention at a hotel near Polaris, Friday.

During his speech, DeWine described current efforts by his office to tackle the problems with heroin, fentanyl and other opiates which cause a massive problem with addiction. The Attorney General remarked that part of the problem is children raised in dysfunctional households, while other addiction problems happen to children raised in fully-functional homes.
