American Lung Association: Still too much smog in Franklin County

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Franklin County's air quality is getting a failing grade from the American Lung Association.

The group's annual "State of the Air" report gives the county an "F" for unhealthy levels of smog.

Air quality is improving however, with the report citing the fewest high ozone warning days on record last year.

Smog is blamed for asthma attacks, lung cancer and heart disease.
