COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- There are some "hot" and some "not-so-hot" cities when it comes to "fixer-uppers". Columbus, apparently, falls into the last category.
Attom Data Solutions latest home flipping report shows Ohio's capital city with a return on investment (ROI) of just under 51% in the third quarter, compared to Cleveland, which had an ROI of close to 99%.
Pittsburgh, PA's ROI was nearly 148%.
The company says home flipping profits are being squeezed, not only by a dwindling inventory of properties conducive to flipping, but also more competition from fair-weather home flippers often willing to operate on thinner margins.
