COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A task force for the Columbus City School District has approved recommendations for consolidating and moving students in current school buildings.
The task force's plan includes moving students currently at Linden-McKinley High School to East High School, and converting the Linden-McKinley building into a middle school.
That would lead to the closure of Mifflin middle School.
The plan would also close Buckeye Middle School and consolidate those students into Marion-Franklin High School. Siebert Elementary School in German Village would also close as a result.
The changes still need approval from the CCS Board of Education, which could approve them at their meeting next month.
