Teacher Accused of Breaking Student's Hand

COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--A Columbus elementary school teacher is facing serious charges after allegedly slamming a ten-year-old student into a chair and breaking his hand.  

Documents show that 53-year-old David Ring is now facing a second degree felony charge of endangering children and was given a bond of 25-thousand dollars at a court hearing Tuesday. 

Prosecutors said that Ring acted violently towards a student in his class at Imagine Columbus Primary Academy which resulted in the injury.  

According to reports, the incident happened in October and school officials said Ring was fired from his position shortly afterwards.
