Motorcyclist Dies in Crash on US-62

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A man is dead after crashing his motorcycle along US 62 in Franklin Township Monday afternoon.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, 26-year-old Bradley Hunt Jr. of Columbus was heading north on 62 on his Suzuki GSXR 750, and driving recklessly according to witnesses, passing vehicles on the shoulder at a high rate of speed.

Hunt eventually struck a vehicle that was waiting to make a left turn along Bohnburg Avenue. He was thrown from the bike.

Hunt was transported to Grant Hospital in critical condition, but later died. No one in the vehicle he struck was hurt.

Investigators say Hunt was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and he did not a proper motorcycle endorsement on his license.
