DELAWARE, Ohio (WTVN)--The Delaware County Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday that there's been an arrest in the murder of a woman, whose body was found in a shallow grave at Alum Creek State Park on July 4th.
24-year-old John David Bartholomew was arrested without further incident for the murder of 28-year-old Brittany McDowell.
Her body was found with at least one gunshot wound in the pull-off area along routes 36 and 37 last Thursday.
Deputies at this point say there was no one else involved in her murder. Bartholomew is charged with murder, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse.
Sheriff Russel Martin says Bartholomew is also cooperating with the investigation.
