Two Firefighters Hurt in Early-Morning House Fire

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Two Columbus firefighters were injured while responding to a house fire on the city's far-east side early Thursday morning.

The Columbus Division of Fire says crews responded to a residence along Montaine Avenue around 4:30AM, where a fire in a backyard grill spread to a nearby home.

Officials on scene tell ABC-6 one firefighter was treated at the scene for heat exhaustion, and another firefighter was taken to the hospital for treatment of a cut.

Both firefighters are expected to be OK. A family that was in the home at the time was able to make it out safely.
