"The Game" Rescheduled for October 24th

CHICAGO, Illinois (WTVN)--The Big Ten Conference released a revised football schedule for 2020 on Wednesday, and for the first time in decades, the rivalry game between Ohio State and Michigan is not the last game on the schedule.

The new schedule puts "The Game" on October 24th, which is week 8 of the schedule.

Under the revised schedule, the Buckeyes will open the season on Thursday, September 3rd at Illinois. Each team is given two bye weeks, in case games have to be rescheduled due to coronavirus.

The schedule against "that team up north" is not the final game on the schedule for the first time since 1942.

  • September 12--vs. Rutgers
  • September 19--at Purdue
  • September 26--vs. Indiana
  • October 3--BYE
  • October 10--va. Nebraska
  • October 17--at Michigan State
  • October 24--vs. Michigan
  • October 31--at Maryland
  • November 7--at Penn State
  • November 14--BYE
  • November 21--vs. Iowa
