The World Reacts To The Death Of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Longtime Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died on Friday (September 18) at the age of 87 from complications of metastatic pancreas cancer.

She was surrounded by her family at her home in Washington, D.C. Ginsburg, known as RBG, was appointed to the Supreme Court by President Bill Clinton in 1993. Up until January, the justice didn't miss a single day of work, a fact made all the more impressive because she's battled three kinds of cancer since her appointment. She was the first female Jewish justice and the second of four women ever on America's highest court.

Shortly after news of her passing, tributes from friends, colleagues, celebrities, and fans began flooding social media.
