COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Ohio Department of Health on Monday laid out the rules and regulations for the state's upcoming "Vax-a-million" drawings, where Ohioans who have at least started the coronavirus vaccination process can win one-million dollars.
Ohio Department of Health Director Stephanie McCloud says Ohioans will have to opt-in to the drawing, by registering at ohiovaxamillion.com . Registration begins Tuesday at 8AM.
McCloud says the deadline for the entry into the first drawing is Sunday, May 23rd. The first drawing is Wednesday, May 26th, with four more drawings once a week for the following four weeks.
Ohioans do not have to register again for each drawing.
McCloud adds that registering means they will provide proof of vaccination, and it will be verified if they are drawn as the winner.
The "vax-a-million" drawings are for Ohioans age 18 and older. Those aged 12 to 17 years old can be entered into a similar drawing, where each winner will receive a four-year, full-ride scholarship to any Ohio college or university.
