Nalah Jackson Indicted on Federal Charges for Abduction of Twin Infants

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Columbus woman, who prompted an AMBER alert in December of 2022 when she stole a car with twin infant boys inside, is now facing federal charges.

24-year-old Nalah Jackson was indicted by a federal grand jury on Thursday on two counts of kidnapping of a minor, which carry a possible maximum sentence of life in prison.

Jackson is accused of stealing a car that was parked outside a pizza shop in the Short North on December 19th. Five-month-old twins Kason and Kyair Thomas were in the car at the time.

Kyair was found abandoned, but safe, the next day at the Dayton International Airport. Kason was recovered after Jackson was arrested in Indianapolis two days after that.

Jackson originally faced charges of assaulting an officer, for spitting on a Sheriff's Deputy during her arrest in Indiana. She'll appear in federal court in Columbus Friday afternoon.
