For the first time in decades, a Democrat has won a U.S. Senate seat in Alabama. Democrat Doug Jones won Alabamaâs special election Tuesday by a narrow margin, edging out Republican Roy Moore whose campaign has been plagued by allegations of sexual improprieties with a 14-year-old girl when he was in his 30s.
Glenn opened the show today by proclaiming, âI believe I have a perfect record. I believe every time I make a political prediction, Iâm wrong.â Hindsight being 20/20, Glenn looked into yesterdayâs electoral upset to answer the question on the mindâs of many Republicans today: Â âWhat the heck happened?â

âA Republican winning in Alabama is about as sure of a bet as you can make in politics,â said Glenn, adding, âThe question is âhow did we get here?â Well, there are three people that I would like to blame for this fiasco.â
