Tiz the Law wins Belmont

Heavily-favored Tiz the Law won the Belmont Stakes on Saturday in New York, which is traditionally the last race of the Triple Crown, but this year was the first because of a revamped and delayed schedule due to the coronavirus pandemic. No fans were in the stands to watch as Tiz the Law became the first New York-bred horse to win the home-state Belmont since 1882, doing it in a race that was 1 1/8 miles instead of Belmont's usual 1 1/2 miles. Next up will be the Kentucky Derby on September 5th and the Preakness on October 3rd.
