Columbus Crew SC has a busy schedule this week.
It started Saturday on the road, when Columbus played the Seattle Sounders to a scoreless draw, despite playing down a man for 75 minutes of the match.
It continues Wednesday night against the Philadelphia Union.
"We want to have fresh legs in every game," said coach Gregg Berhalter. "We talked about it being a squad week, where we're going to need a lot of guys."
While that could mean some different faces in the lineup Wednesday, Berhalter would still like to see a similar effort to the one he witnessed out west...even if he was joking about it.
"I'm worried we're going to start getting the label of a defensive team," he said.
Columbus is indeed giving up fewer goals per game than any other team in the Eastern Conference (1.0), while Philadelphia has only scored 6 times in their 8 games.
