Could we see Ohio State Buckeyes playing against Ohio State Buckeyes in The Basketball Tournament this year?
Earlier this week, it was reported that former OSU point guard Andrew Dakich tried to join team Scarlet & Gray for TBT this year, but there was no room on the roster.
So Dakich asked teammates Jae'Sean Tate and Kam Williams to join him as well as Michigan players Duncan Robinson, Mark Donnal, Jon Horford, Stu Douglass, and Illinois power forward Nnanna Egwu in forming Team Big X.
Today, we got some news regarding the roster for Scarlet & Gray.
The Columbus Sports Commission announced their lineup will include William Buford, Aaron Craft, Jon Diebler, Dallas Lauderdale, David Lighty and Evan Ravenel, who all played with the squad in 2017 and reached the semifinals. A new addition is Buckeye BJ Mullens. He is currently in the NBA G-League playing with the Lakeland Magic.
There will be more roster updates coming, the Commission promised. Notably, we are waiting to hear if JJ Sullinger will be back again this year.
Team Scarlet & Gray will be playing in the Columbus Regional. Friday, July 20 through Sunday, July 22 games will be staged at Capital University.
The championship will be held in Baltimore, Maryland. and the winner will snag a $2 million prize.
