With the Bruins 5-1 win over the Maple Leafs last night, Boston moved on to the next round, where the Blue Jackets have been waiting for them. Today coach John Tortorella spoke for the first time since the match was finally set.
He broke news that defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov has cleared all the immigration hurdles he needs to in order to play. (Whether he actually does see the ice remains an open question.)
Tortorella also talked--albeit briefly--about his connection to the Bruins. "When I grew up in Boston, I mean, I'm a Boston kid, I certainly followed the team."
