A highly regarded 2020 basketball prospect is listing Ohio State among his three finalists.
Four-star shooting guard Keon Johnson tweeted the news this afternoon.
Johnson is a 6'5", 180-pound shooting guard from Bell Buckle, Tennessee. He's the 30th ranked player in his class.
But that's not the only good news Ohio State received on the recruiting front this week.
Kalen Etzler, a Convoy Crestview power forward and class of 2021 four-star prospect, became the first player from that class to accept an OSU offer. He's the nephew of former Buckeye Doug Etzler.
And the women's team also benefited from a recruiting pick-up. Pickerington's Madison Greene will be joining coach Kevin McGuff's squad next season. She backed out a commitment to to Penn State after the Nittany Lions made a coaching change.
Now the point guard, whom ESPN has ranked as the 59th best prospect in 2019, will be playing her college hoops right near her hometown with fellow incoming recruits Kiersten Bell (8), Rikki Harris (24), Jacy Sheldon (42), and Kaelynn Satterfield (88).
Note: The hire was announced weeks ago, but the Ohio State men will introduce new assistant coach Jake Diebler at a press conference Thursday.
