Urban Meyer had the audience laughing when he took the stage as one of the speakers at a ceremony held in honor of former Buckeye William White this week.
(You can read about the award presented to White here.)
In addition to saying nice things about White, Meyer had some kind words for his wife, Shelley.
The former Buckeye coach thanked her for her patience and understanding, and then told a story to illustrate just how understanding she has been.
It dated back to his time as an assistant at Notre Dame, when working for Lou Holtz was a little intimidating. In fact, Meyer confessed to still being afraid of his old boss, even though Holtz is now 82 years old.
That fear led him to some very questionable parenting decisions one wintry morning. Watch the video above for more of the hilarious details.
The bottom line is that Meyer dropped his daughters Nicki and Gigi off at school...on a snow day. After the night's event, Meyer explained that his girls had been rescued by a secretary who happened to be on site that morning.
Which is why they weren't turned to snowmen when Meyer flaked out.
