Memorial Final Round Includes Harold Varner Ace

Akron native Harold Varner III had a memorable moment during the final round at the Memorial. Varner, on the 164 yard par 3 eighth hole had the only hole-in-one of the weekend. It was the first ace on No. 8 since Steve Stricker did it in 2011. Unfortunately, there's no video of Varner's shot---he played early Sunday and TV cameras weren't rolling. I happened to be walking the back nine at the time and heard the roar at 8. I was able to get there in time to see Varner reach the green and take his ball out of the hole. Check it out below.

Varner had a nice tournament. The hole-in-one helped him finish with a 2-under par 70 Sunday. He finished 4-under and wound up in a tie for 19th. The winner, of course, was Jason Dufner at 13-under, earning him a $1.56 million pay check. Here's the final round highlights from the PGA Tour twitter account
